• LG G6 Won’t Be Featuring Snapdragon 835 Because of Samsung

Posted on February 4th, 2017 admin No comments

LG’s upcoming flagship G6 won’t be featuring Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset due to the fact that Samsung bought out all the chips that there won’t be any left for the other companies, according to a recent report.

Ben Sin, a consumer tech writer for Forbes, recently criticized HTC for featuring Snapdragon 821 instead of the more powerful Snapdragon 835 in the year of 2017. But after digging deeper into that, he realized there’s a good reason for that.

“I’ve spoken to some industry insiders in Asia today and I must apologize to HTC, because it would appear that the 835 is out of their reach until after April, so they couldn’t have used the 835 without drastically delaying the phone,” Sin writes.

“In fact, that’s the case with almost all phones, including LG’s flagship. Yup, I have confirmed with an industry insider that the LG G6 will run on Snapdragon 821 instead of the 835 that everyone’s expecting.”

The reason why the G6 will be missing out on the Snapdragon 835 is that Samsung has first dibs on it because it’s basically the biggest customer for Qualcomm and the order from the Korean Company is so big that there won’t be enough for other vendors.

Big companies like LG, Sony and HTC won’t be able to have access to the Snapdragon 835 until after the official debut of the Galaxy S8 in the coming months.

This won’t be much of an issue for LG’s fans actually as LG’s done things like this before. The LG chose the Snapdragon 808 instead of the 810, but that’s mainly because of the concern of overheating rather than stock out.

From the latest leak we can see that the G6 would be featuring a USB-C port, headphone jack, a dual-camera arrangement and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. And noticeably the device’s 5.7-inch display features virtually no bezel. All in all, the G6 is still a flagship worth expecting.

  • Google Confirms Two Flagship Android Wear Watches for the First Quarter for 2017

Posted on December 26th, 2016 admin No comments

Google has confirmed that it’s launching two flagship smartwatches in early 2017. They would be coming out with the debut of Android Wear 2.0. And Google will have the watches built by a third-party manufacturer that has the experience of releasing Wear Watches before.

According to Jeff Chang, Product manager of Android Wear at Google, Unlike the Pixel phones, the watches won’t be carrying Google or Pixel branding. Instead, they would be carrying the branding of the manufacturer who actually builds the watches – But Chang has yet to confirm who that is.

According to The Verge, Change also said that they are making an effort to convince consumers that smartwarches are still in demand and the new watches are part of the effort. He also promised that new Wear devices from other manufacturers are on the way for 2017.

Once the new Wearables have arrived, Google will rollout Android Wear 2.0 to existing smartwatches. But not every watch is getting the update, just those of the most recent ones will and it’s partly because some features on Android Wear 2.0, like Android Pay, require certain hardware.

Other than Android Pay, Android Wear 2.0 will feature standalone apps that can be used without having the watch connected to a smartphone, and Google’s new voice-controlled Assistant. It will support iPhone, so does Android Pay with iOS.

Chang also demonstrated Google’s optimistic attitude towards smartwatches, “This is a marathon, not a sprint. This category of product is here with us to stay.”

  • 12.2″ Samsung Galaxy Note Talbet Spy Pictures Leaked Again with Physical Home Button and S-Pen

Posted on September 3rd, 2013 David Brooks No comments

The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note III is going to show its official release in the upcoming IFA, as well as the hot rumored Samsung Gear Smartwatch.  However, aside from these two new devices, Samsung seems to make something big by expanding its Galaxy Note product line to be with 12.2 inches big screen display, which is the months rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. A spy picture of this new device appeared on MovePlayer last Sunday shows that there’s a big difference between this new black device and other Samsung devices.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2

A leaked image shows a render of tablet being named as the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. According to source, the device, with the model number SM-P900, is set to be released in the second half of this year. If the name is to be believed, it will be another S Pen-enabled Android tablet. What seems strange though is that it sports a physical home button at the bottom which is so far absent in most of the manufacturer’s 10.1-inch tablets but is prominent in its smartphones, phablets, and 8-inch tablets.

It will feature an 8-core Exynos Octa 5 processor, and a 12.2-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. It’s still unknown whether the Galaxy Note 12.2 device would adopt plastic cover. But SamMobile site pointed out that this new device is mostly probably one of the Samsung 9X series.

The details about this new device might be revealed on the upcoming IFA.
